Kammiovuori

The Kammiovuori mountain near Sysmä is the highest peak in Eastern Finland. On the mountain opens up a beautiful view far to the areas forests and lakes. On the mountainous and atmospheric forest trail you pass the ”Sysmän Linta”, a big erratic block, and Hiskias’s cave, where a hermit used to live. There is also huge ant nests by the trail.

The trail is demanding, steep ascends and rocky paths most of the way, but it feels worth it on top. Despite the challenge, this route is popular among families. Your guide is there to assist you and to tell you interesting stories about the sights on the trail.
